Whats up Mama!

Wow! 8 days!!!! Wow! Cant believe it went so fast!!! Its soo hard to keep working! For realz! This week we didnt have too much sucess. I dont know whats going on with the investigators. Veronica has to get divored then get married then she can get babtized. Juan doesnt really want anything. But Cessy is doing sooo good! She went to all the sessions of conference and loved it! She is great! We had a really good time at conference. I learned alot about what I have to do after the mission. The priesthood session was sweet!!! I loved it!!! Well not much to say! But I love ya! Cant wait to see ya!!!

Really?????  That's what I get.  I know --  he's tired.  He's busy.  He's .....  But, a little more would be nice.  But, I understand.  I hardly want to email him.  I JUST WANT HIM HOME !!  Next week at this time he will probably be in the Mission Home with his final preparations, and I'm sure I will be DYING !!!  Cannot wait.

Well, I got this email today.  He sent it yesterday, so I don't know why it took so long to receive it.  CRAZY !!!  But, good to hear he is happy and still "loving the mish".

It’s good to know that my Chargers are doing good. I can’t wait to see! Haha! The time is really going by SUPER fast! Haha! Its hard to focus! La verdad! But this week was good! Cessy was supposed to get baptized on Friday but she drank because she felt the pressure. So we had to wait until Sunday. Sunday morning she got baptized. It was a nice service. Short and sweet! But Juan didn’t go. He drank again. After the service we went to pass by. He was there but he didn’t want to come out. I told Cessy, Well if he doesn’t want to. It’s fine.  I don’t really care. I was super frustrated. I was really hard on him. I told him that he needs to get his act together. He was acting all hard and stuff. He told us a lot of his doubts and stuff. Which was good. Things about poligamy and crap. He needs to feel that God loves him. He doesn’t believe in love. Because he had such a hard life before. It’s sad. Then we went back in the night time and he was drunk but a nice drunk. He said he saw a dream, where he saw God but without the face. Who knows. But he was drunk, so we have to go back. On the plus side Cessy got baptized and she is happy!!!! Also, some lady brought her friend to church. Her friend has been lots of times and actually was going to get baptized but she wasn’t married. Now she doesn’t live with this guy and I think we can baptize her on the 13 of October! J I’m excited!

 So, I’m pretty excited as well! Not gonna lie! It just keeps going faster and faster! I found out to this week that I go home on Wednesday instead of Thursday. Sweet!!!

I have bad news! L I talked to Fabian. He says that his wife doesn’t want to get sealed in the temple. I don’t know what happened but I don’t think they’re going to get sealed. I’m like sooo sad! I don’t know what’s going to happen but I told him that he should at least go for his on endowment. I hope he can go! Please pray for them. If you go to the temple put their names down on the list.

So were here in the apple store with Pako. I went to get my new shirt. I had to get it specially made. But its gonna be sweet!!! Now were waiting for Pako to buy something for his i phone. So were taking advantage of the internet and writing home. I saw a little bit of the news about the Chargers. :( Thats sad!!! When I get back they're gonna do good! Haha! So I also bought a new belt for like 5 bucks. Im ready to come home looking good!

So this week was hard. Alot of our invetigators aren't progressing. But Cessey and her drunk husband are! YEA!!! They came to church twice in a row now. She is getting babtized on Friday and Juan I think in two weeks! Everybody else is kinda like ehhh maybe Ill do it or maybe ill not.

Cinnamon is cool. I love him. Buts its hard! I need his help but he doesnt help me. But o well!

I have just one thing to say .......  it is time for this boy to BE HOME !!!!  We are at just over 3 weeks and counting.  And, his emails are getting shorter and shorter.  I understand.  I can't hardly bring myself to write him anymore.  All I want to do is talk about him coming home.  Which is a big No No.  So - I really don't have much to say to him.  My heart is killing me !!!!  I thought it would be easier, this close.  But, guess what?  It's not.  It's TORTURE !!!

Email #92: Mirna got baptized! It was good.

What’s up Mama!

 That is great news about the Bolts! 2 and 0!!! J I can’t wait!!!!!! I’m for sure not going to be speaking a lot when I get home because I will have a beard and they don’t like that!!! Haha! I miss my beard! I haven’t shaved today yet and it’s long! Haha! I have been Reading the Book of Mormon in spanish. I just finished 3 nephi. I have to get going on it so that I finish this month! I'll finishes though. I also want to lose 10 pounds this month! I hope I can do it.

It was great-- the wedding! OF COURSE you're gonna meet Omar and Rita! J

 So this week was good. Mirna got baptized! J It was good. And her husband came too! I really want to start teaching him and hopefully baptize him. J Yesterday she invited us to her house and we hate Panuchos that had meat from deer. It was sooooo good!!! I also tried meat from armadillo. It was super good!!!! Her dad is the blind guy. I thought I told you, maybe not. But, he thought we were missionaries from the Presbyterian Church. So, he and his wife don’t want anything to do with us anymore. Kinda sucks.  We still have lots of work here to do though! We have Jaime that can get baptized in like 2 weeks. But we have to teach him more. We had to go find Juan and Cessey. (He is the drunk) But they were there and they came and stayed for the baptism. So that’s exciting. We’ll see what happenes with them. Cessey can get baptized whenever she feels comfortable. Hopefully soon.

So one month to go. I’m so excited to work still. But it’s super hard. But I love it! I love the mission!!!

Email #91: I LOVE THE TEMPLE!!!

Wow! It was so great to see pics of Sam! I miss that guy so much!!! It was GREAT to see a pic of Parrish!!! I love that guy! He was a great missionary! Yea, this is my last transfer! Crazy! But there is still lots of time! We have been working alot in Telchaquillo. Its our small town. I seriously love it! It will be a culture shock when you come and see it! The people are so great! They all speak Maya. Haha! On Sunday we're going to baptize a lady. Her name is Mirna. She is the one that her husband wouldn’t let her get baptized! But she is going to on Sunday morning. We also have a guy named Jaime. He is a great guy trying to overcome alcohol. He is going to get baptized on the 22 of Sept. But we’re going to try to baptize him in a Cenote. It’s like a cave with water! It should be really cool. Our other family is kinda falling apart. Juan drank again and didn’t go to church. His wife left for a few days and also didn’t go to church. L It sucks! We’ll see what were going to do.  It was kind of  a hard week. We weren’t diligent so we didn’t have much success. We need to work harder! It’s hard because Cinnamon doesn’t work very hard. He is a great kid. But he doesn’t go out of his way to do anything! So I have to do everything and sometimes I’m just tired of doing it all. But I gotta do it. I’m excited.

So I got a call from Omar on Monday and he told me that he was getting sealed on Saturday and that he called Prez and asked permission for me to go. So….YEA I WENT!!!!! Ahhhh! It was such a good experience. I LOVE THE TEMPLE!!! It was so great to be with Omar in the Temple. He is like me. We were messing around and joking in the celestial room. Haha! I love him! Then after, we went into the sealing room. The guy that led the sealing asked well who are the witnesses. Omar said, well the missionaries. I got to be a witness. My name is signed on their certificate!!! It was such a great experience! The spirit was so strong! It was wonderful. I can’t wait till November to see Fabian get sealed! J

I hope all this crap with the tractor gets fixed. :/ But tell the old man I said hi and I love him lots! J Well Mama I gotta go. Love ya!

Email #90: This week we had a lot of great experiences..

 

Whats up Mama!

What another great week!!! This week we had a lot of great experiences.. La verdad! The work here in Kanasin is ok. The family that we have is having LOTS of problems!!! The dad drank again. L Sucks! We saw him Sunday, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Then he said that he was going to have lots of work and we would see him on Saturday. We told him that it was important to see him every day. But, we couldn’t. So we went back on Saturday and he wasn’t there. On Thursday he drank and got into a fight with his wife. Told her that he has another wife and family! UGHHHHH!! It’s horrible. Here we go again with this Doctor Phil crap! It’s hard!

On the other hand we have our small town called Telchaquillo! It’s SWEET!!! We went on Friday. The members there give us lots of referrals! We talked with one guy named Jaime. He accepted his date to be baptized! He had spoken with missionaries for like 2 years but never got baptized or even accepted. Pretty cool! Then there was another lady called Mirna. Her husband hasn’t let her get baptized because he is a jerk. But we went and saw her and she accepted a date for 16 of Sept. We taught her about Faith -- That her husband would let her get baptized. We also taught her mom. But the best part is her dad. Her dad lost his sight and hearing like 5 years ago. He can’t see very well or hear. He went Beethoven style or something like that. He was outside on the front porch while we talked with Mirna and her mom. We were in the Living room. Same room where he was. After the lesson we walked outside the house while the members said goodbye. Then I walked back in to use the bathroom. The dad talked to his daughter and said are you getting baptized? She said yes. He said Take me with you, I want to too. This man couldn’t have had any clue about what we talked about but he felt the spirit so strong!!!! Then I gave him a blessing. It was different. Every time I tried to say what I wanted to -- my Spanish went crap! But then randomly I started talking. But during the blessing I saw the veil. Like everything was white and I saw Christ. After the blessing he started speaking and said thanks. After, I asked Cinnamon what he saw. He saw the veil too!!!! CRAZY!!!!! It was sooo sweet!!! We’re going to baptize them in an asanote. Like a water fall thing! J

Then on Sunday I went back to church with Heiner. It’s so small but the members are soo cool! We had to bless the sacrament and give a blessing to a baby. After we taught a class. But there all the classes are outside because there is only two rooms. It’s so sweet! One lady didn’t understand the class so some lady repeated what we said and said it in Maya! Hahha! Sweet!!! I want to make it a branch. Its technically part of our ward -- they just have permission to do it there. It was a wonderful and humbling experience. We take it way for granted -- the churches in the states!!!

So it was a wonderful week! I love my small town!!! Look it up on google. TELCHAQUILLO, YUCATAN. I gotta go! Love ya!!!

Email #89: So I had a kinda good experience last week.

 

What’s up Mama!

 

 Wow we had such a good week! We started out by having divisions on Tuesday.  We had Elder Pineda. I love that guy! He's such a good guy. But at like 1 o’clock, we got a call from the assistants. Pineda got special changes to Playa. So he left L that sucks. Now Elder Beck is here.

 So I had a kinda good experience last week. Like 5 years ago a guy from Chandler served his mission here. He is now a cop for Phoenix. I have heard a lot about this guy. Everyone says he comes every year. I know a few of his converts here. They're all inactive. Kinda sucks. Anyway, he writes me on dear elder. He was like well I read your blogs all the time and well I think you could enjoy your mission a little bit better. He said that I talk about home a lot. He talked about another missionary that only had like 2 weeks left on his mission and he said that there was a big difference between us. I don’t really care like what this guy thinks,  but I started to think about what the Lord thinks about me and my mission. So I really tried to work hard this week! But when we try to work hard, the devil will always tempt us to do the opposite. There is a scripture in Alma 13:28. I finally understood what it means. It talks about having to be humbled. If we’re not humble we won’t ever be able to overcome Satan. It was good stuff.

 So there is a family that Cinnamon (that’s Mendoza’s nickname) Haha! Anyway. He baptized a family here like 3 months ago. They're sooo sweeeetttt! They gave us a referral for a family. We went to teach them on Tuesday night. They accepted a baptismal date for 15 of Sept. Then we taught them at the church about the Sabbath Day. The Dad has drinking problems. We talked about how to resist the temptation and how the sacrament helps us be strong during the week. It was sweet! Then we invited them to a baptismal service. Only the Mom and 2 kids showed up. The dad was drinking. We were so upset. But the dad of the new family that got baptized, he went to see if he was ok. The other dad (our investigator) -- he felt like crap! He felt so bad that he didn’t go to the baptismal service. But yesterday morning, there he was in sacrament meeting with his family. It was such a great expiernce to see him there with his family!!! Ugh! I love the mission! Cinnamon went to the small town with Pako yesterday while I was here with Bryan. Cinnamon says we have lots of referrals for the small town. So I’m excited to go back this week to meet new people. We have a couple other people but not as cool as this family. J

So I finally have time to send pics and write a good letter! Im so excited to talk in spanish with Nana! Im pumped! Im sooo jealous that you went to a football game!!! I miss it so much! But Ill be home soon to see it! Yes!!!

 So Im here in Kanasin. Its like a small town that got kinda big. Its really cool. There are a lot of cool people here. We dont really have any work right now. Which sucks! But o well we just gotta go out there and find them. In my ward there is two other missionaries. So we eat alot together and its super fun!!!  The house is kinda crappy. The water doesnt work well. We wash the dishes in a bucket. Ya sucks! We spend alot of money here on  transportation! We use the tristaxis. Its a motorcycle with 3 wheels. Im trying to learn my area. But its really hard!

This week I saw Simister. He finished his mission! Crazy! Everyone is going home!!! Im like the oldest perosn now! Wow! My companion is cool. He has 8 months in the mission. He should have 11 but he went home for knee sugery and then came back. Everyone in the street called us white people! Its funny! Haha! Its fun to be with him. He speaks english pretty good.  Yesturday was stake conference. Elder Mendoza from the 70 came. He was really good!

 I need to be more excited. The time is just going down and down. So is my excitement. Its hard!!!! Like way hard!!! But yea! I dont really know what else to say. It feels good to be up to date again. Well mama! Have a good week at school. Remember to love those little brats! Be happy! Love ya!!!

E-mail #87: So, its been a super great week!!!

Hey Mama!

So, its been a super great week!!! Im still in a threesome. He goes home tomorrow! That will be nice to get everything all done and ready to work. I really like this area! Its gonna be sooo much fun! Today I bought my suit! Its nice! I like it. But I still have to buy a new shirt and a belt. Next week I will. The only bad part is that here in this area its expensive. We have to spend lots of money on taxis and buses! Sucks!!! But Im excited!! My companion is Elder Mendoza. He is a big guy with red hair. He is from Cualwilla, Mexico. He is a good guy! Im sorry I cant send lots of pics. The computer is slow!!! I have LOTS!!!! In this area we have a small little town about an hour away! Its sooo sweet! They all speak maya! Haha! Alright I have NO time to talk today. I'm going to the other side of Merida. It's called Kanasin. So right now I have to go home and pack all my stuff and go to my new area. Im going to be in a threesome for a week. Im kinda nervous.  I'm kinda an emotional wreck. Idk Im starting to have such little time here and right now Im thinking in spanish but cant type fast in english. Its hard. Im excited to get away from flores but nervous for this next area. Email #85: So this week was another really hard week!!!

Hey Mama!

So this week was another really hard week!!! Like for sure! Flores and I almost got into a fight right there in the street! He told me something or made a comment, I don’t remember very well. But I was like what do you want me to do? He flipped, I kinda made fun of him. I know it wasn’t the right thing to do. He told me he was gonna put me into pieces. I said PLEASE do it! But he didn’t do anything! Figures! I was pretty pissed! That same night  we had a meeting with the counselor of our Ward. He had received a couple a comments that the missionaries were rude and just a bunch of crap! A lot of it wasn’t true. Some lady in our Ward is a Little special. She likes to have all the attention. But a lot of it was true, because Flores is so rude to the sisters! Ugh! Drives me crazy! So Sunday we had to talk to the Relief Society President and the counselor. After, I went with Edgar(The counselor) and Flores went with another guy. We went into a room and talked for a Little bit. It was nice. He told me he understands and don’t worry to just keep working! He told me that he learned something on his mission. “Even if your wife is in the wrong, the husband always asks for forgiveness first”.  He told me to just be the man and say sorry. Just keep working! He told me “Elder, you only have 11 WEEKS left” !!!!!! Wow! MOM I only have 11 weeks left!!! I can almost count on my fingers!!! Ugh! I’m so excited!!! He gave me a blessing to. It was really nice!

I COME HOME ON OCTOBER 18!!! In the morning. You will get a phone call soon, I think. I won’t be home for the BRONCOS CHARGERS GAME!!!! Are you kidding me!!!! Hate my life!!!! UGHHHH!!!

So anyway I’m just trying to be happy. Not let him get to me. Changes are in 5 weeks! Still have a looong time. But it’s okay!!! I’m just gonna be happy! Enjoy your last week of summer! It went by fast!!!

Last week we were in California, so this post is a week late.  I tried to keep it pretty hush hush this year.  I know Chad is a little trunky, and it's SO hard for him to imagine us in Cali without him.  He's getting so close.  He sent Cessey (his Mexican Mom that owns "the best burrito joint around") an email in Spanish.  She was so amazed at how well his Spanish was.  She kept saying, "Who helped him with this???" Once again, it was hard to be there without him.  But, next year.  And --  wait for it........  we only have 11 WEEKS LEFT !!!

Hey Mama!

Im sooo jealous!!! Like for sure! That Monster looks soooooo good! Three months baby!!! I love Cessey! I wrote that letter in like 1 min! Haha! That's how I speak! Haha! Sweet!!! Im excited to talk to her in Spanish! I wish I was there. I CANT BELIEVE that Mike and Amber are pregnant! What the freak!!! Wow!!! That was fast! I don't want to have kids that fast! Crazy!

So transfers were today....I'm here with Elder Flores. Were still companions!  Im sooo disapointed! I wanted to train my last two changes. I actually just wanted to get away from him. Its horrible! Its always something every single freaken day!!! I don't know what I'm going to do. Because we don't have ANY work to do. We have NO people. They all got baptized! I'm thinking about telling President that there is a hot girl next door and she likes me so I need to leave. Haha! Maybe that will work. But really I'm sooo upset :( I just need to keep my head up. Thats what everyone keeps telling me.

On a good note...Reina got babtized! :)))) It was a beautiful baptism. She is happy! Now we just have to FIND new people!!! We are going to baptize two kids. There parents were inactive. There so cool. They gave me a decoration thing. Ill send a pic. Its really cool.

Hey Mama!

I got to talk to Brad Hunsaker today. Well I wrote him. He is doing great! He eats iguana too! Haha! He says his Spanish is doing really good! He is such a good guy! I love him! THAT’S CRAZY THAT SAM GETS HOME SOOONNNNN!!!!! Wow! That’s means I GET HOME SOON!!!! My mission is almost over!!!!!! UGHHHHH! Crazy! Hahaha!

So this week AGAIN me and my companion fought! It’s such a pain! Like really, its actually just tiring. But o well. This week was good. We baptized another lady. Her name is Elizabeth. She was the lady that got rid of all her virgins and images and stuff. It was great! This week were going to baptize her daughter Reina. She is 15. She is really cool! I really wish me and my companion could just get along. EVERY person that asks me who is my companion? I tell them well Flores. Then there like O….I’m sorry. I heard he was a jerk! Yea! So, it’s kinda crappy! But o well the lord wants us here for a reason! :/

So words don’t explain how jealous I am about California!!!!!! UGH!!! I hope Bryan takes me as a welcome home gift! Haha! Well Mama! I gotta go. I need to know if I can buy a suit and a shirt and a belt. Please let me know next week. I think it will cost like 250. I love ya mama!

Email #82: I think it was pure revelation.

Whats up Mama!

So, this week was really good and really bad. The good, well Paola got married and got baptized!!!! YES!!! It was so great! I’m so happy for her! I can’t wait till you get to meet her. We also baptized a little kid named Oscar. His mom is a member. The bad part is that President found out that we all went to Fridays last Monday. We broke two rules, which I wasn’t really even thinking about. 1- We can’t meet in BIG groups. Which I didn’t know that all those people were going to come. That wasn’t my fault. I thought it was just Muñoz and me. 2- Right now we can’t go to American restaurants because of all the drug traffic that is going on in Mexico. I totally forgot about that one.  So I got a call from the assistants. They weren’t too happy. My companion got a call from Prez. Prez didn’t call me or say anything in my letter this week. But it was interesting. He found out on Friday. On Wednesday I had an interview with him. I don’t think he knew about it. But he told me a whole bunch of crap about obedience. Told me that I have to be more obedient in mission rules and for when I go home to be obedient to the commandments. I think it was pure revelation. Crazy! I might have lost his confidence again. I hope not. Ugh! Stupid rules! Grrrr! The other thing that sucks is that my companion and me aren’t doing good! Its every single day. Its sooo flippin hard! I just try to not get him pissed and when he does get pissed, I just laugh in my head and let it go. Then like an hour later he is fine. I really just don’t know sometimes. Changes are in two weeks! I would love to stay here and train for my last two changes, but you never know what is going to happen.  One night this week we bought pizza. He was like, "Well if you want to buy the pizza I'll buy the soda and you can have the backpack."  So I bought pizza for like 10 bucks and he gave me the backpack. So I have a backpack. He is so frustrating. It’s a good backpack though! :) These last two weeks I have felt fat. All my companion does is eat. But, ya! I’m done! I’m going on a diet! Not really a diet but I’m just not going to eat junk! So next week I’m going to go to the mall to look at suits. I’ll let you know how much they cost. I don’t think I’ll be able to use my suits because they're gross! And big.  Last I checked I weighed like 225 lbs. I think we’re going to start running in the morning, Prez told my companion that he needs to lose weight.  Well Mama I love ya! Miss ya!

Whats up Mama!

Another week. This week went by sooo slow!!! For this transfer we have our district meeting on Tuesday morning instead of like normal at 6 on Monday night. So I was kinda lost this whole week. My companion is such a pain in my butt!!! This is really hard! If I say its green he says it's red. That kinda of crap! It’s such a pain. Like 2 weeks ago- my backpack broke. So I have been just using a scripture case. Some lady at church was like, O I have lots of them.  I'll give you guys some. I was like well yea sure. Flores was like yea I want one.  So she came back and only brought one. She gave it to him. I was like but… I don’t have one. He was like but she gave it to me. Ugh! Then!!! ….his mom sent him a NEW one in the mail. I was like so what do you want for that backpack and he flipped on me saying it was a gift and all this crap. If my companion didn’t have one I would have given the backpack to him. But….no. So selfish!!!So next week I’m going to go buy a backpack. GRRR!!! So frustrating.

So  on Saturday we caught an iguana. Well I did. Then we took it to a sister in our ward and we killedit, well I killed it and skinned it and then she cooked it. Then Sunday after church we ate it. The funny part is Paola lives right next door to the lady. This whole week we were saying that we wanted to kill an iguana and eat it. Paola said she did too. But she thought we were joking. But, we weren’t. Haha! So, she tried it. I don’t think she like it. But, it was really good! It was fun! It was for sure an experience. I cut its head off and everything. All thanks to hermano omar. :)

So the work is good! Paola is getting married on Wednesday and getting baptized on Saturday! I’m so excited!!! I have been working with this girl for like 2 months! :) The only crappy part is that  now there is a rule that the members have to baptize them. The missionaries don’t do it anymore. How crappy!!!! I’m super bummed!!! Elizabeth is progressing so well! She came all the way from a small town just to come to church yesterday. It was great!!! We didn’t think she was going to come but right after the sacrament she walked in :) Sweet!!! She has 2 girls that we're going to baptize too. Just that one of them has to get married first! :/

So, omar isn’t getting married until August. The temple is closed for 2 weeks! UGH!!! Such a pain. I want to go with him so bad! I think I will be able to but just have to be patient.  I have been thinking a lot about California. I miss it sooo much! Hope the Geisers have fun! I love them. Tell them to write me! I miss her letters! Well not much more to say. Keep working! Haha! Today I saw Muñoz. He finishes in 3 weeks! Crazy! He is dead. Its almost time! Haha!

So, I want to see if I can buy a new suit for when I come home. And a new shirt and maybe a new belt. I want to go and check how much. But yea my suit is horrible and the one I bought is nice but just for missionaries. I want to look good for when I come home. Im thinking like 300 or less. Maybe you can talk to the gmas :) Haha! Let me know next week.

Email #80: We had nine people come to church!!! Sweet!!!

Whats up Mama!

So we had a really good week. We had a zone conference. It’s always good to learn more. We had nine people come to church!!! Sweet!!! Paola came. She is doing really well! We're hoping that we will be able to baptize her this week. She just has to get married.  Here you have to do blood tests first. We're going to do that on Wednesday. That same day we're going to the court place to make the date for the wedding. Hopefully they will give us a date for THIS week. Pray for her! J Were also teaching a couple of kids. There doing good. There all like nine or ten. We also are teaching a family, without the Dad. He doesn’t live there. The mom is Elizabeth. She is like 58. She first didn’t want anything but then came around. She loves it now! She has read up to Jacob in just a week and a half. We taught her about the commandment “No false images”.  She has a two foot virgin in her living room. Lots of that crap. She said that she felt like she needed to get rid of it all. Everything we teach, she accepts. Its great! She has like ten kids. Were teaching Reina and Gloria. Reina is 15 and Gloria is 23 with a newborn. There doing good. There baptismal date is planned for 14 of July. Hope everything keeps going smoothly. Oyuki the girl that I baptized last week didn’t go to church yesterday. UGH! I felt like crap. They said that she slept in. I was pretty pissed at the mom because she isn’t helping AT ALL! Very frustrating. Were going to keep teaching her. ´

So my companion and I. It’s hard! But I’m just trying to do my best. He is one of those guys that are all talk and nothing else. That bugs me. I feel like I work alone. It’s hard! But this Elizabeth loves him. Don’t know why, but o well. I just got to keep going.

So, the mission is really starting to get hard! I have been thinking about home A LOT! Thinking about stupid things when I come home. EVERYBODY always ask how much time I have in the mission. Then they just tell me, O it’s just around the corner. It’s so hard!!! Three and a half months!  We have transfers 23 of July. I really want to train a new kid again. It will give me more energy! We´ll see what’s going to happen.

Omar is getting sealed on July 4, I think. I think I’m going to be able to go! I hope so! I want to go sooo bad! I have been waiting for more than I year for this! Haha! Castañeda is coming to Merida on that day for a conference, so he is going. I’m so excited!!! Pray for me! Haha!

Email #79: A week of baptisms !!

Whats up Mama

So, it was a good week. I think I forgot to tell you, but my second week back here in Merida. I got a phone call from Manuel. He is the Uncle of the girls that Vinay and I baptized in Garcia Gineres. Remember them? Well he called me and said, "well I’m getting baptized and I want you to baptize me."  :) Wow! He said that when I left, he was just about to start listening to us. He always said no I can’t or its not my time yet. But, his time came. On Wednesday I went back to my old area and baptized him. :) It was so great! That’s my second convert that got baptized when I didn’t want it to happen but when the lord did. I love it! All the people told me that I am sooo skinny!

Then on Saturday Shirley got baptized. I got to do it too :) We ate afterwards. The food that we ate is called Cochinita. Its pig but in a sauce that is really greeaasyyyyy and really good! Its sooo bad for you! But I love it!!! A lot of her family came. It was good!

My new companion…well I think I’m starting to put ALL of what I have learned from my old companions into practice with this guy. We haven’t fought yet, but there have been moments when I could have.  Just a few things that DRIVE ME CRAZY!!! He eats sooooo much! Then he can’t walk fast because he is fat. Sister Salinas put him on a diet but he doesn’t want to do it. Anyway… president told me today to just be humble. So that’s what Im gonna do.

On Saturday before the baptism we were walking and I caught an iguana in the street. Some old lady came outside and we started to talk to her. We invited her to church. Guess what? She came! Her and her daughter! Crazy!!! Totally didn’t think she would come. So tomorrow were going back to see what’s up. She is nice and like 4 feet tall. Haha! Paola is doing really good! She just needs to get married and then we can baptize her. The ward is going to help pay for part of the wedding! Sweet!!! I’m excited for her!

Email #78: So Moncada left!

Wow! So Moncada left! :( He went to Cancun. My new companion is Elder Flores. He has 15 months in the mission. I kinda fought with this kid in Cancun a little bit. I hated him. But I guess this is what I get. Haha! He is from Sonora. Its pretty close to Arizona. He hasnt been a good boy in his mission. That why he is a junior. But it doesnt matter. Im gonna have a good attitude and work hard! This week Moncada was sick! So it was a little hard. I miss him so much! I'm pretty sure that we are going to babtize Shirley on Friday. I hope so! She didnt go to church yesterday. Her Mom isnt helping us very much! Kinda sucks! Paola is progressing really good! She is gonna get babtized on the 23 of June. She needs to get married first though! But yesterday we had a lesson with the Bishop and her husbad. It was really good!!! :) The work is going good! I'm gonna have 20 months on Wednesday! CRAZY! Only 4 more!!! Thats hard! Today was kinda hard. I miss home a little. I dont really want to be here with this kid. But I know that there is a reason for it. I just gotta keep working hard!

The wedding! I wish I was there! Thats funny about your recommends. You should make sure you check that out! Haha! Dad is just getting old. Thats why he doesnt get mad any more. Haha! Thats crazy that Denny is a Bishop!!!! He is gonna do great!!!

Kenna's gone! Crazy! I hope she has fun and be´s safe!!!!! I really want to go to Europe! Some day! The pic is good! I like it. Im gonna print it and put it on my last agenda. Kenna only sent me a few. Tell her to send more of the family! I love getting pics. :)

Enrique leaves on Wednessday! Im so excited for him!! I love him sooo much! Pray for him.

Work is good! This week Paula came to church! She is sooo excited! She is getting babtized on 23 of June. But..she has to get married. I think we can do it! :) Were also teaching a little girl name Shirley. Her Mom is inactive. But they have gone to church two sundays in a row now. :) She is getting babtized on 16 of June. The work is doing good. We have  great days and our crappy days. But o well.

 

The wedding! Yea its kinda weird. Because I could be married in a year!!! Its the next part of the mission. Is to get married! Crazy! Im happy for him. I got the invitation last week. Haha! Took awhile.

 

Im gonna tell Kenna to dump this dweeb. Or just lead him on for another four months so I can kick his...... yea. Haha! Im gonna write her soon.

 

I miss Cali sooooo much!!! Like soooo much! Im jealous! I want to go when I get back. I think me and Bryan are going to go :)

 

The plans sounds good! :) Im sooo excited! Im gonna write a letter to Fabian. :)

 

So, I got a phone call on Wednesday night. Guess who? ........ENRIQUE! He said "Im coming to Merida on Saturday" So, YES WE WENT TO THE TEMPLE!!!! O Mom, it was soooo great! I hadnt gone in a year! I missed it sooo much!! Saturday morning Enrique came all by himself at 1 in the morning, so that he got here at 10am. I got to be his assistant! I took him to get his G's and everything. I had to explain alot! I forgot alot! But it was cool. In the Celstial room I said a prayer and I asked if I should continue with what I want to do. Got to school and be a fire fighter, and get married. So I asked -- then I opened up the Book of Mormon for my answer. The scripture that I opened up said that when the spirit confirms, it is JOY. I felt soooo happy. I was just smiling to myself in the celestial room! Funny! So, I have to study right when I get home and i have to get married! Haha! That part is kinda freaky but thats what I felt. Enrique was a little nervous. He still is. He is worried about his mom. I told him in the celestial room that EVERYTHING is gonna be alright. They will be BETTER than they are now. It was such a great experience. I cant wait to go with Fabian. And I could undersdtand ALOT more than the last time I went!

 

Im really happy! I love the mission! Im getting excited more and more to go home. But I love it! I cant wait till you and Dad get to meet them. :))))

E-Mail #76: This week was really good! We worked really hard!

Whats up Mama!

Wow! That is a downer about everyone. I’m glad Dad isn’t an old fart. Well he is but he doesn’t act like it :) I really miss the old guy.  Tell him I love him. I miss ya too Mama!

This week was really good! We worked really hard! We found a lot of good new people. People that are just waiting to receive the gospel. One of them is 15. Her name is Natalia. Her dad is Mormon. But she doesn’t live with him. She is super cool. There is another girl named Paula. She is 19 and her husband is an inactive. She just wants to change her life and choose the right path to guide her family. Super good! My companion is great! He is one of my best! I love him! We get along really good. He works hard. It’s great! I think it’s because he isn’t Mexican or American :) Divisions were really good with Elder Hearne. He is a great kid. He is excited to go home. Haha! I don’t know, nothing special this week. We just worked hard! :)

I don’t know anything about Enrique. He hasn’t called me because its long distance. I hope he is good. I hope that he will be able to go. I don’t know how much more time I can wait to go to the temple. I need to go SOON! It’s important! He isn’t Sugeys brother. Sugeys brother is Chucho.

P-Day is all work. It goes by sooo freaken fast that we never have time to do much. I think next Monday we're going to Fridays. I’m gonna go with Elder Muñoz. Remember him from the offices. I miss him. He goes home soon too.  I’m getting so old in the mission! Not much more to say. Did you guys buy the tickets yet? I need to write the Xoocs soon and tell them when.
